Heidi Bootle

Heidi Bootle is a career diplomat who is Director South-East Asia Development Strategies Section in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.  She last served overseas as Australian Consul-General to the French Pacific (New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis and Futuna), for almost four years. Prior to this, she was Director of the Solomon Islands Section.

She has held numerous other positions in DFAT in Canberra and overseas, including Acting and Deputy High Commissioner in Honiara, and First Secretary at the Australian Embassy in Paris. 

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania and a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University. She speaks French and Solomon Islands Pijin.
